I read the Educacion en Latino America article. Have you ever heard anyone mention the need for texts to be reused, rather than bought every year...a HUGE expense on ANYfamily, and crazy to have it be the POOR countries suffer this concept. Or related: the demand that government pay for the TEXTS.
And then there is the whole RED TAPE involved in registering for "colegio". Is it a latin blind spot? red tape...often misinterpreted in Ecuador as a sign of progress.
