reflections
i like travelling, but not while it is happening. i like the photos more. i like the passport stamps. i like the stories, but i wish for the people. there are places i want to go (not russia), but i realize they wouldn't really be worth it unless i went with someone worthwhile. those solo travellers confuse me...i've met a few. who are they?

is that with a split cam? either way, i like it.
Dude, I entirely agree with every aspect of that post.
no colour. none of the day pictures have a flash. the only one is the vela one.
Bethany,
Most of my solo travel has been done for business, but not all. And even with the business travel, I sometimes take extra days or weekends to sight see wherever I am. When we had four little kids at home, I actually enjoyed the bits of solitude. Even so, I would find myself wishing that Barbara was there with me to see what I was seeing and share the experience.
I still feel that way at times when I am traveling. However, more and more I form relationships (albeit very fleeting ones) with people I meet while traveling. They are the relationships that are icing on the cake of my relationship with God, family, close friends. Sometimes they turn into more.

Bethany,
Forgot to mention. That is a fantastic picture. Oddly moving.
Should be in a gallery!

i like being a solo traveler cuz it is the epitome of freedom. you can talk to whoever you want, go where you want when you want and sit and enjoy without having to think at all really. but i would rather travel with someone who has my same idea of what traveling should be. and besids, travel is funnier when you're with someone so that you can laugh when you miss your plane and you're completely stranded.
VERY cool Picture actually. I absolutely understand about the solo traveling - the thing I like best about traveling is sharing the adventure - it's sad to share the adventure with people you are pretty sure won't be in your life next year, or next month, or even next week...
